Today you will leave Athens, travel along the seashore of Argosaronikos and cross the Isthmus of Corinth with the breathtaking view and begin the exploration of Classical Greece walking in Corinth that was the richest town of the ancient civilization and the place where Apostle Paul stayed for about 2 days during his visit in Greece. We will continue along the seashore and then high on the mountains of Argolis to reach the sanctuary of the ancient healer Asclepius. You will visit the most ancient theater in the world, the theater of Epidaurus and in continuation we will head west towards Nafplion where we will spend the night. In the afternoon you can wander in the narrow alleys and taste the local cuisine.

A wonderful day has dawned in the town of Nafplion. The town was a focal point for the Greek revolution and the liberation of Greece from the Ottoman conquerors after 400 years of slavery. You will have the chance to explore the Byzantine and Venetian castles of the town that are located on the slopes of the mountain. You will visit Mycenae to discover the history that inspired Homer so that he could write the famous Iliad and Odyssey. The Cyclopean walls of the abandoned palace of Agamemnon will surprise you presenting the dynamics of the town while the findings in the museum will remind you that the Bronze Age was the benchmark for the development of the world’s civilization. You will wander in the famous vineyard of Nemea where you can savor the local wine and then traveling along the Corinthian Gulf you will arrive at Olympia where you can spend the night.

A wonderful day has started in the birthplace of the Olympic Games. The grandeur of the place and the temple of Zeus, which was considered one of the 7 wonders of the world, stimulates awe and invites you to light the Olympic Flame of your heart. Our journey will continue crossing the bridge of Rio – Antirio so that we can move towards North Greece and spend the night in the historical town of Ioannina.

We change images discovering the beauty of North Greece in a place which paid harshly the freedom of Greece. Today, this place takes pride in its history welcoming visitors and aiming at teaching how “heroes fight like Greeks”. You will wander in the countryside and the high mountains of Zagorohoria and Zoumerka. There are scattered stone bridges and streams with cool water, colorful wild flowers and herbs that inundate nature with aromas. Taking the small boat, you will roam in the lake of Ioannina and explore the unique small island which is located in the lake until you reach the house of Ali Pasa. You will visit the fortress of Ioannina and other important monuments for the history of this place. You will taste the local cuisine with the traditional pies and in the afternoon, you will walk around the old town with the small shops and cafes. We will spend the night here.

Our tour will begin with a distinct mountainous destination featuring impeccable traditional architecture. We are talking about Metsovo which is located on the mountain of Pindos, surrounded by protected nature areas and shelters for the protection of wild animals. We will take a deep breath and continue our journey to visit the archeological sites of Vergina and Pella. The birthplace of Alexander the Great, economic and administrative center of the famous Macedonian Empire. A wonderful sun has risen in Thessaloniki known as Thessalonica, Salonica or Saloniki. The second biggest city of Greece, the capital of the North as known by many people. Your tour starts in a city that is loved by locals and visitors, a commercial crossroads between west and east; its location was the reason of being desired by barbarians and conquerors. It was the economic and administrative center of the Roman Empire and critical destination of Apostle Paul during his journey in Greece. This will become the benchmark for the Christian times that will follow and the stepping stone for the expansion of the Byzantine Empire. You will visit important monuments of the Roman times and Christian churches that reveal the value of Thessaloniki in the development of the Greek history. The city awaits you to explore with the help of our experienced guide and no doubt you will live unique moments reviving the history that was identified with religion. In Thessaloniki, there was a Hebrew community that thrived and developed early in history and played an important role in the advancement of the city; unfortunately, they paid high price during the World War 2. Finishing the tour in Thessaloniki we head southern. We will continue our journey towards the sacred mountain of Olympus to visit Dion. The ruins of the Ancient Macedonian town reveal the importance of the area and the respect of the Greeks towards the God Zeus.
Finally, we will drive towards the town of Kalambaka where a unique surprise awaits you the next day. We will spend the night at Kalambaka.

Going up by car on the rocks of Meteora will render you speechless from the first moments of the tour in Meteora.
