5 Days in Greece

A beautiful day has started and finally the dream that seemed unreachable comes true. Lunch in a tavern by the sea to taste the local cuisine of seafood and snacks and then we will return to the hotel in Athens. Tomorrow a surprise awaits you.

Another day dawns promising that the charm of Aegean will excite you. It will thrill you the exploration of the cobbled alleys of three Greek islands. The sea becomes blue only for you and the tour begins when our driver picks you up from the hotel to take you to the port. You will experience a fantastic one-day cruise to the islands of Aegina, Poros and Hydra. Small bays full of white fishing boats loaded with fresh fish from the Aegean Sea. Houses made of stone that have been standing firm for centuries against the saltiness of the sea where the locals continue to pass on dearly the tradition of our island civilization maintaining customs and traditions of many centuries.

Aegina is a love at first sight, you will enjoy the ride on the carriage viewing the traditional settlement in the port and will taste the famous sweet preserves of the blooming pistachio trees of the island. The famous worldwide nut of pistachio is the result of the dry climate and the volcanic structure of the island. What cannot be missed is the popular sacred temple of Aphaia Athena that according to an ancient secret, the temple forms an isosceles triangle with the temple of Poseidon in Sounion and the Parthenon of Acropolis in Athens. On Hydra, you will believe that you experience another era, where the donkeys even today help for the transport of locals slowly galloping with grace the vigorous metal sound of their hooves on the cobbled alleys. The visit on the island lasts about 50 minutes.

Today you will leave Athens, travel along the seashore of Argosaronikos and cross the Isthmus of Corinth with the breathtaking view and begin the exploration of Classical Greece walking in Corinth that was the richest town of the ancient civilization and rival of Athens. It was the administrative center of the Roman Empire and for this reason Apostle Paul stayed for about 2 years and later wrote two letters to the Corinthians. We will wander on the mountains of Argolis among the olive groves, orange trees and lemon trees until you will be surprised by the view of the Cyclopean walls. You can wander in the narrow alleys of the old town and taste the local cuisine. In the afternoon we will return to Athens for getting some rest. Tomorrow we will offer gifts to Apollo.

Thought time conquerors and barbarians vandalized the wealth of the town and everyone stole something from the glory of Delphi. The last oracle was granted in 4^th century AD and the oracle ceased to operate forever according to the command of the Byzantine emperor who set Christianity as the official religion of Greece. Still, it left behind the history and the treasures of World Heritage that cannot be described but they await impatiently you to visit them in the archeological site and the museum of Delphi.
